Weather Update: Due to climate change, the temperature of the earth is continuously increasing. On July 21, the temperature of the earth reached record levels. Copernicus, the European Union agency that monitors global temperature change,
has claimed in its report that on Sunday, July 21, the global average surface temperature on the earth reached 17.09 degrees Celsius (62.76 degrees Fahrenheit), which was recorded at 17.08 degrees Celsius (62.74 Fahrenheit) in the month of July last year.
The report said that in the past week, heatwaves have seen severe heat in large parts of the United States, Europe and Russia.
2024 may be an even hotter year
Last year, there was severe heat for four consecutive days from July 3 to July 6. The report says that due to the burning of fossil fuels, severe heat was seen in the Northern Hemisphere.
At the same time, scientists have said that the year 2024 may be a hotter year than the previous year. Scientists have blamed climate change and El Nino for this.
