Delhi Coaching Center: The Delhi government has come into action after the death of three students preparing for IAS in an accident in Rajendra Nagar area of Delhi on Saturday. On the orders of MCD Mayor Shaili Oberoi, officials sealed 13 coaching centers operating illegally in basements in Rajendra Nagar area late Sunday night.
These coaching centers are locked
These include IAS Gurukul, Chahal Academy, Plutus Academy, Sai Trading, IAS Setu, Topper's Academy, Dainik Samvad, Civils Daily IAS, Career Power, 99 Notes, Vidya Guru, Guidance IAS, Easy for IAS. MCD officials have informed that these coaching centers were operating in various areas of Rajendra Nagar. In these, coaching centres were found to be operating in the basement in violation of the rules and they were sealed on the spot and notices were pasted.
MCD woke up from its slumber after the accident
After the accident in Rau coaching centre, MCD has woken up from its slumber and has sealed 13 coaching centres. According to the officials, soon coaching centres in other areas will also be inspected and if any flaws are found and action will be taken to seal the coaching centres violating the building bylaws.
Library in the basement ignoring the rules
It is worth noting that MCD is being criticized from all sides regarding this matter. Firstly, the coaching centre converted the basement into a library by not following the rules of the building bylaws. And on the other hand, according to the sanitation department of MCD, the cleaning of all the drains in Delhi was to be completed on time but that was not done, due to which the accident has come to light.
Three people died
The opposition party has been continuously accusing the Delhi government that deaths have occurred due to its negligence. Tania Soni, Shreya Yadav and Naveen Delvin died when water entered the basement of the IAS Study Circle in Rau. The basement was being used as a library in violation of rules. Several other students were also trapped in the water-filled basement and were rescued after a seven-hour long operation.
