Fire in TRP Mall: 35 people including 12 children have died due to fire in Gujarat's TRP Mall, the condition of many is very critical.
Rajkot Fire: 35 people died in a massive fire that broke out at TRP Game Zone located in Nana Mauva area of Rajkot city of Gujarat at 4.30 pm on Saturday evening. The administration has so far confirmed the death of 20 people.
Among those who died, 12 were children. 15 children were saved in this incident. At the time of the accident, 70 people had registered in the game zone. Another 45 employees were also inside. Many of these are still missing. In such a situation, there is a possibility of the death toll increasing.
After several hours of hard work, firefighters reached the spot and brought the fire under control. It is said that the fire broke out after the AC compressor burst in the game zone. Although this has not been officially confirmed.
The police have taken the main operator of the game zone into custody. After the incident, all the game zones in the state have been closed. The Chief Minister has given instructions for a high level investigation into the incident.
It is difficult to identify children's bodies
The children who lost their lives in the fire were completely burnt. In such a situation, it has become difficult to identify the bodies of the dead. The administration says that the bodies of such children will be handed over to their families after DNA test.
There was no fire NOC
Preliminary investigation revealed that the game zone did not have a Fire NOC. Not only this, there was also a lack of fire fighting equipment in the game zone.
SIT will investigate
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the incident will be investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The state government has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.
Prime Minister Modi expressed grief
As soon as information about the accident was received, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and inquired about the incident.
While sharing the post on social media X, he said that he is extremely distressed by the fire incident in Rajkot. My thoughts are with all those who have lost loved ones. Home Minister Amit Shah has also expressed condolences on the fire.
