A massive explosion took place in a gunpowder factory in Bemtara, Chhattisgarh on Saturday morning. This shocked people several kilometers away. Many people are reported to have died in this massive explosion. Initial information has come out that more than 10 people have died in the blast.

Let us tell you that the news is coming out that the owner of that factory, Sanjay Chaudhary, is a resident of Madhya Pradesh and he was running a gunpowder factory in Chhattisgarh for the last 30 years. At present, the police has started searching for Sanjay.
As soon as there was a blast in the factory on Saturday morning, people several kilometers around felt it like an earthquake. Frightened, people came out of their homes. It is being told that the walls around the factory have been damaged in this accident. Whereas a crater about 20 feet deep has formed at the site of the explosion. However, the cause of the blast has not been confirmed yet. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
Let us tell you that before the blast in the gunpowder factory of Bemetara, there were similar massive blasts one after the other in a firecracker factory located in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh on 6 February 2024. 13 people had died due to those blasts. According to the workers present in the factory,
the reason behind the explosion was a small spark which had come out during the grinding of gunpowder there, due to which such a fire broke out that most of the workers working in the factory did not get a chance to escape or run away. Was.
‘It felt as if an earthquake had occurred’
Let us tell you that this horrific accident happened in the gunpowder factory built in village Barsi of Barela block. The explosion was so powerful that its sound was heard in nearby villages up to a distance of about 5 kilometers, while an earthquake-like shock was felt up to a distance of about one kilometer.
Seriously injured referred to Raipur
After the incident, all the injured were taken out of the debris with the help of police and local people and taken to a private hospital, from where many seriously injured have now been referred to Mehkara Hospital in Raipur. At the same time, administration teams including Bemetara Collector and SDM are present at the spot.

If media reports are to be believed, so far 10 people have been reported killed in this horrific accident. Barela police station has reached the spot and the fire brigade is also trying to control the situation. Meanwhile, rescue work is going on.
