Big blow to Muslim side in Krishna Janmabhoomi case, Supreme Court rejects petition
Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi: On Tuesday, the Supreme Court rejected the petition of the Mosque Committee in the Mathura Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute. The Supreme Court said- keep this matter in the High Court only.
The Masjid Committee had challenged the order of Allahabad HC, in which the HC had decided to hear 15 cases related to this dispute by combining them together.
Cases should be heard simultaneously
While giving its verdict on 23 May 2023, Allahabad High Court had said that all these cases are of the same type, in which the decision has to be taken on the basis of the same type of evidence. Therefore, to save court time, it would be better if these cases are heard together.
The Muslim side had filed an SLP in the Supreme Court against this order. It was demanded that all the cases be heard separately. Hindu party Mahendra Pratap Singh says that the Muslim side wanted the case to be heard separately. But the Supreme Court rejected his SLP. They want this matter to remain pending.
