Ranchi Police Issues Notice to ED: Jharkhand Police has sent a notice to the Enforcement Directorate. Police has sent this notice in a case related to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
 

Ranchi Police has issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate team. This notice has been sent by former Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the case related to the FIR registered under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Act, asking him to join the investigation in the third week of March.

Giving information about the notice, SSP Ranchi said, "A notice has been sent. The investigating officer (IO) will be able to give more information. Currently, he is out of the station for some matters." Let us tell you that the central investigating agency ED had filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court against the FIR, in which it had ordered not to take any punitive action against the ED officers.

Former CM Soren had accused of tarnishing the image

It is known that former Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren had alleged in his complaint that the Central Investigation Agency had raided his residence in Shantiniketan, Delhi and Jharkhand Bhawan on January 29 with the aim of tarnishing his image. He also accused ED officials of harassing and defaming him because he was a tribal. On his complaint, Jharkhand Police had registered an FIR on January 31 under Section 3(1) (P) (R)(S) (U) of the ST-SC (PA) Act.

The court had rejected the petition of former CM

It is noteworthy that on February 29, Jharkhand High Court rejected the petition of former CM Hemant Soren, in which he had sought permission to attend the budget session of Jharkhand Assembly.
